Sebastian Pacios, M.D., serves as senior vice president of project delivery for PPD. In this role, he is responsible for the delivery of the company’s global clinical development projects and programs, including the operational management and delivery of PPD’s partnerships and alliances portfolios, both in the pharma and biotech space.
Dr. Pacios joined PPD in 2008 as senior vice president of clinical development for the company’s Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. In 2010, he was named senior vice president of clinical development in the global project management group within PPD’s Phase II-IV clinical development organization. Prior to PPD, he co-founded a regional contract research organization and held a number of senior management roles with a global CRO, where he served as vice president responsible for clinical operations and project management in Europe, Africa and Asia-Pacific. He has taught clinical trial management courses in Spain for a number of years at the University of Pamplona, the University of Barcelona, the University of Alcala de Henares and the University of Valencia.
Dr. Pacios holds a medical degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and is a licensed practical physician at the Colegio de Medicos de Madrid. He is a member of the National Association of Physicians in Spain.
