Jay Dixon serves as senior vice president of quality and enterprise learning for PPD. In this role, he develops implements, prioritizes and communicates the company's quality and learning strategy and programs. He promotes recognition of company quality programs among customers, and develops and implements employee communications and training/learning programs in connection with the company's quality objectives, strategies and processes. He also is responsible for managing resources and workloads across projects, focusing on utilization, adherence to timelines and quality/learning standards to foster a climate of continual improvement. In addition, he translates PPD's quality/learning strategy into tactical policies, processes and procedures to meet global regulatory, medical/health and legislative standards.
Prior to joining PPD in 2013, Dixon served as chief operating officer for another contract research organization (CRO), where he provided leadership for the company’s operations and service lines, quality infrastructure, administration management and business development efforts. He also was responsible for the successful resolution of PRACS 2011 Untitled Letter with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. He has more than 30 years of experience providing quality assurance and compliance expertise to pharmaceutical companies and CROs, including serving as vice president of quality compliance, vice president of global quality assurance and business process improvement, and director of global medical operations.
Dixon earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Campbell University.
