Jason Knoblauch serves as senior vice president of finance for PPD. In this role, he leads the business finance and commercial finance functions for the company’s global clinical development, labs and early development business, providing strategic and financial support to commercial pursuits and business endeavors.
Before being named to his current role in 2018, Knoblauch served as the company’s interim chief financial officer. Prior to that, he led PPD’s corporate finance group, partnering with executive, commercial and operational leaders across the PPD enterprise. He has been a member of the operations committee and has been responsible for the financial execution of a number of strategic and operational initiatives, including the annual financial planning process, cost optimization efforts, capital allocation decisions, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and recapitalizations.
Prior to joining PPD in 2013, Knoblauch was a director in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ transaction services group, providing M&A financial support to private equity and corporate clients across several sectors, including health care and life sciences. He also previously worked in Ernst & Young’s audit practice.
Knoblauch holds a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Virginia and a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics from Creighton University. He is a licensed CPA in Georgia.
