Elizabeth Kuronen joined PPD in 2009, bringing a wealth of expertise in the areas of public relations, corporate communications, branding, broadcast and film production, marketing and advertising. At PPD, she manages an experienced team of communications and public affairs professionals responsible for global communications and outreach to the company’s key audiences. These stakeholders include employees, clients, media, government agencies and community groups.
Prior to PPD, Kuronen led corporate communications and public relations for GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy. Kuronen previously served as a director in the marketing and communications organization at Bristol-Myers Squibb, where she led the in-house design and production agency called BMS Studio & Films.
Kuronen’s experience in television broadcast, film production and marketing includes work for such companies as NBC, CBS, QVC and De Laurentiis Entertainment. As an executive producer or organization leader, she and her teams have earned 18 Telly Awards, nine prestigious Aurora Awards, a Ragan Employee Communications Award, three Web Health Awards and three Digital Health Awards.
Kuronen currently sits on the advisory board for the University of North Carolina Wilmington’s Cameron School of Business Marketing and Communications Department and New Hanover Regional Medical Center’s Foundation.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in communications/public relations from Campbell University.
