Our healthy volunteer (Phase I) clinic in Austin, Texas, recruits and provides financial compensation to study volunteers who participate in clinical research trials.
Phase I clinical studies, also called clinical trials, are designed to verify safety and tolerability of an investigational drug in humans. Fully supervised by medical professionals, these studies explore how the medicine acts in the bodies of healthy volunteers, specifically how the compound is absorbed, distributed, metabolized and excreted. These studies do not test to see if the medicine works.
PPD recruits clinical tiral volunteers for a wide range of clinical studies. If you are generally healthy and age 18 or older, you may qualify to participate in a study.
