Investigator Recruitment

As a leading global provider of discovery and development services and products for pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies, PPD is continuously in need of qualified investigators who meet specific criteria for both new and on-going clinical research trials.

A clinical investigator's role is pivotal in the development and advancement of new drugs, therapies and medical devices. Participation in sponsored trials provides the:

  • Availability of novel agents to patients
  • Opportunity for you to become familiar with new medications
  • Ability to explore new indications for drugs already on the market

A grant is offered for most clinical trials to reimburse an investigator’s time.

If you are interested in becoming a clinical trial investigator, fill out and submit the investigator background information (IBI) form. We are seeking both experienced and research-naïve investigators.

If you would like to know more about PPD or would prefer we fax the IBI form to you, please call our investigator hotline +1 877 631 5699.

Why Participate in Clinical Trials

Clinical investigators play an important role in the development of products to combat disease, treat chronic and degenerative diseases, and improve the health of people throughout the world. The rapid development of new drugs, therapies and devices has created a dramatic increase in the number of trials required to properly evaluate them. There is a need for physicians in private practice to join as investigators in these trials.

By conducting clinical trials, physicians gain several advantages:

  • Professional Development: Remain at the cutting edge of your specific area of therapeutic interest; meet other investigators to exchange ideas and plan future collaboration; gain comfort in working with drugs and processes not yet approved by the FDA
  • Professional Recognition: Clinical investigators are often recognized as thought-leaders within the professional community, and may have the opportunity to become co-authors of articles for publication
  • New Revenue Stream: Clinical trials offer the opportunity for additional practice revenue
  • Evolution of Medicine: Clinical investigators potentially bring breakthrough products to the market that could impact the health of the nation and world

Introduce New Treatments for Your Patients

Investigators have the advantage of offering patients alternatives to their usual treatment, which may only be available through participation in clinical trials. Your patients may receive care at no cost throughout the clinical trial and may be provided with medication they might not otherwise be able to afford.
