Jaime

What I Do: I work with our functional department leads (biostatistics, data management, clinical, IVRS, clinical supplies, etc.) to ensure we meet if not exceed our client’s expectations. I am the driver of my assigned projects, and my top priority is being available to my team to provide support.

Career Path: I started out as a clinical research associate (CRA), was promoted to senior CRA, then clinical team manager and most recently to my current position as project manager.

What I like best about working at PPD: The people I work with. When I am assigned to a new project and begin working with new team members, I am astonished how many exceptional and talented people work here.

What I’ve learned at PPD: If you are hardworking and proactive in your own career growth, you can work towards any goal and achieve it.

PPD is a great place to work because…of the support. I have been very fortunate to have many mentors along the way who have always supported me. My associate director of clinical operations, whom I worked with as a CRA and as a manager, leads by example and always makes time for me when I have questions or need support.

My most memorable moment at PPD: Meeting with our CEO and founder, Dr. Fred Eshelman. I was pleased that he made the time to travel to all of the main PPD campuses to visit with any employee who was interested in meeting with him. That experience makes me want to be a better employee and help PPD succeed.

More about me: I signed up for a sprint triathlon even though I did not own a bike or know how to swim competitively. I trained for months and am proud to say I crossed that finish line. I love reading, camping and hiking, and I enjoy walking my dog (a Golden Retriever named Ginobli) around the neighborhood. I am also addicted to spinning class.
