What I Do: At any given time, I am responsible for several studies for various sponsors. I am also a technical expert for two of our operational software products.
Career Path: I started with PPD as the second research assistant hired in the Dutch office. I was fortunate to be able to go the United States for the company’s clinical foundation training, which led to my promotion to clinical research associate (CRA) and, later, senior CRA.
What I like best about working at PPD: The atmosphere within PPD is very pleasant. There is no hierarchy, and colleagues within PPD at any department or office are accessible and helpful. PPD also offers a lot of chances to develop your career. You feel really appreciated and a valued part of a team.
How my team works together: Communication is of great importance at PPD, since each sponsor or project has its own requirements and needs. At PPD, we all work together to make projects as successful as possible. Everyone is very aware of the expectations, and this makes achieving our goals much easier.
How PPD has exceeded my expectations: Although PPD is a large global company, you absolutely do feel appreciated. The benefits of working at PPD include working with cutting-edge technology and the possibility of developing your career in various directions. It is fun to work in clinical research and to explore the new possibilities of medicine.
More about me: I helped start a committee to organize social events for my colleagues in our office. I play tennis and perform various voluntary activities for my tennis club. I enjoy reading, visiting the local pub with my friends and skiing. |
