As a leading global provider of drug discovery and development services, we offer a distinct career
progression for nurses. We are actively seeking nurses who may qualify for the following positions:
- Consultant Nurse: combines medical information and customer service; researches
and responds to telephone inquiries from consumers and health care professionals; may also be
responsible for identifying and recording adverse events and product complaints, as well as processing
fulfillment. This position does not require travel and is based in our Morrisville or Durham, North
Carolina, offices.
- Product Safety Specialist: coordinates and processes individual adverse event
reports and aggregate safety reports for regulatory agencies; maintains knowledge and understanding
of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and current Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations;
interfaces with project team members and client contacts. This position does not require travel and is
based in our Morrisville, North Carolina, office.
- Safety Specialist: performs serious adverse event (SAE)
processing activities during a clinical trial; reports to client companies and
regulatory authorities; interacts with the clinical project team and clients;
maintains knowledge and understanding of SOPs, current FDA regulations and International
Conference on Harmonisation guidelines. Specialized nursing experience, such
as oncology or critical care, is preferred. This position requires travel up
to 25 percent of the time and is based in our offices in Wilmington and Morrisville,
North Carolina, and Austin, Texas.
- Clinical Research Associate (CRA): performs and coordinates all aspects of the
clinical monitoring process to assess the safety and efficacy of investigational products and/or medical
devices; conducts site visits to determine protocol and regulatory compliance and prepares required
documentation; develops collaborative relationships with investigative sites and clients. Experience in
a clinical trial environment is required. These positions are based in PPD offices worldwide and
travel is required 60 percent to 70 percent of the time.
Qualified candidates will possess a bachelor's degree in life sciences or a related field of
certification, such as RN, MT, PA, RPh or RT.
