In the Netherlands, PPD’s employees work across a variety of areas, including:

Nearly two-thirds of Netherlands employees are office based. Half of all employees work part-time, with six years being the average tenure in our office. Almost 40 percent of all employees joined the Netherlands office via the research assistant trainee route. The Netherlands office celebrated its 10-year anniversary in 2013.

Our office in the Netherlands is distinctive, as it is located in the woods in a small town near Ede. The building originates from around 1930 and is a listed monument, which includes a listed herb garden. The natural environment, space and possibility to go for a lunch walk or run are appreciated by employees. If you need to go to the local shop, you can use one of our white PPD bicycles.

The Netherlands employees are highly engaged and feel connected. For example, they have been involved providing art work (employees’ photos) for decoration and selecting names for the meeting rooms. Recently, the group launched a pilot for desk sharing (a green/flex room). There is an employee baking club, weekly fruit baskets, a long-standing  participation in the ”famous“ mountain run and many other social activities, such as movie nights, family barbecues, running dinner, mountain bike events and wonderful holiday parties.
